AUSTRIA BUNDESLIGA

In Austria, I don’t think there’s any player making major headlines, but I’d like to highlight Armani Chaney, whom I scouted in the TBL where he was putting up impressive numbers. His performance in his first European experience confirms that even in lower-tier American leagues, you can find interesting players. At Graz, there are two players I had identified: Greg Johnson, who impressed me in D-2 but is struggling to maintain consistency in his three-point shooting, and Nic Lynch, a stretch-five who performed well last year in the Polish second division. He’s now proving himself at a higher level and could become a reliable player for mid-tier European teams.

BNXT LEAGUE

In the BNXT League, most of the statistically outstanding players are from Dutch teams with negative records. However, Leeuwarden is performing exceptionally well, led by Robin Duncan, who is showing his versatility after his experience in Denmark. If he works on his three-point shot to reach a 32-33% success rate, he could aim for higher-level opportunities. Among rookies, Brayden Parker is making a solid impact without flashy numbers, while Quincy Anderson stands out as one of the most underrated yet highly effective and well-rounded players. He has talent but doesn’t overdo it with his shot selection. I’m also eager to see how Clarence Daniels, who recently signed with Antwerp, performs.

DENMARK BASKETLIGAEN

In Denmark, the statistics highlight Caden Ebeling and Josiah Johnson, both coming from lower-level colleges (Johnson even from D-3). They’re impressive with their energy, though their teammates’ level certainly helps boost their performance. Among top-tier teams, Zay Williams is averaging a double-double after a tough season in Portugal. The former Troy player is athletic and is working on developing a three-point shot that could add versatility to his game. Laolu Oke is also bringing great energy, while at the Bakken Bears, rookie Terrence Hargrove is showing promise but needs to improve his three-point consistency. Additionally, Jacob Polakovich stands out with high statistical output in limited minutes, showcasing his physicality and rebounding skills.

KOSOVO SUPERLIGA

In Kosovo, several intriguing players have emerged. While some have already moved on (e.g., Shahada Wells to Greece and Jalen Moore to Turkey), DJ Burns remains a standout player. I’ve often compared him to John Brown III—a bundle of energy and presence all over the court. A similar profile, albeit of slightly lower quality overall, is second-year player Jayveous McKinnis. Among rookies, Sammy Hunter, who often played in Enrique Freeman’s shadow at Akron, has become a key player at Trepca. Jordan Johnson, a scoring point guard, is also showing playmaking ability despite having a mediocre supporting cast.

Other notable mentions include Terrell Brown, last season’s MVP in Norway and now the league’s top scorer at over 23 points per game, and Mike Nuga (Cotonou status), who has helped Vellaznimi recover, as well as Josh Nzeakor (Cotonou status), Burns’ teammate at Pristina. Among local players, Dardan Kapiti from Trepca is emerging as a contributor after a low-profile NCAA career and a developmental season.

VARIOUS

In Romania, I’ve had limited time to form a full picture, but rookies Austin Crowley, a versatile and smooth player who might need to add some hustle, and Christyon Eugene are performing well. Both have the potential to become solid players for higher-level leagues.

In Serbia, after dominating a few games in North Macedonia, Dae Dae Grant has arrived and quickly established himself as a scorer with character and skill, though he can sometimes play erratically and lose rhythm. Jordan Dingle is delivering high-impact performances relative to his minutes on the court, benefiting from sharing the backcourt with veteran Scoochie Smith, who eases his transition into the European game. Unfortunately, Tyson Jackson, an inside player with the potential for a solid career, started in a financially unstable situation, and Shykeim Phillips, a capable floor general, is out with an injury and is expected to return in about a month.

In Finland, I’ve only followed the league briefly, but I must highlight the impact of two rookies who went under the radar this summer: Symir Torrence and Anthony Roberts. Both are versatile, efficient, and capable of contributing across the board—not just offensively.
