INTRODUCTION
Christyon Eugene spent his early college years in JuCo before transferring to the Trojans, where he became the team’s primary offensive option by his third season. A scoring-oriented guard who prefers playing off the ball, he moves well without it, makes sharp cuts, and is able to create separation off the dribble. His slashing ability stands out: he attacks the rim with a mix of athleticism and physicality, making him a solid free-throw generator. When defended by lighter guards, he’s also capable of taking advantage in the low post. He shows confidence shooting from three, especially in spot-up situations, with good efficiency (39.3% on 3.6 attempts per game), though he doesn’t take many. His playmaking remains a work in progress: while he does involve teammates (2.6 assists per game), his decision-making can be erratic, leading to forced plays and unnecessary turnovers (2.1 per game).
Defensively, he has the tools to make an impact. He’s physically equipped to challenge many matchups (1.3 steals per game) and contributes on the glass (3.2 rebounds), showing reactivity that allows him to ignite transition plays.
