One year ago, I published a scouting report focused on 10 rookies entering the BNXT League.

The goal was not simply to list new names coming from college, but to identify which profiles were worth monitoring early in their professional careers and which players had the potential to move to a higher level after adapting to European basketball.

The report included 10 players, with individual scouting notes, strengths, weaknesses and projections.

For anyone who did not have access to it at the time, I’m now making the full report available for free. One year later, several of those players have already made significant jumps.

This radar is a quick look at five rookie bigs starting their professional path in different European contexts.

They are not presented as a universal shortlist, but as profiles worth monitoring for their size, skill set, physical tools, defensive translation and possible impact in European roster construction.

Some bring shooting and spacing, others mobility, rim protection, interior finishing or physical presence around the basket. The key is understanding how each big translates to a specific role and team context.

For clubs, the real work is more specific: understanding which bigs actually fit one roster, one budget, one playing style and one recruitment need.

Toyaz Solomon | 6’9 – 206 cm | Zielona Gora | Mobile big

Fit: Mobile big who can provide interior scoring, rebounding, and rim activity with energy and efficiency.

Productive frontcourt player with interior efficiency and consistent rebounding/shot-blocking impact (7.4 RPG and 1.3 BLK). Runs the floor well and finishes plays without needing usage, with offensive value built on activity and paint scoring.

Strengths: Interior finishing efficiency – Rebounding and rim activity – Mobility for size

Risk: Limited perimeter shooting consistency

They are not presented as a universal shortlist, but as profiles worth monitoring for their size, production, physical tools, role adaptability and possible impact in European roster construction.

Some will be asked to provide scoring and spacing, others more physicality, rebounding, energy or defensive presence. The key is understanding how each profile translates to a specific role and team context.

Chandler Cuthrell | 6’8 – 203 cm | Karhu | Physical forward

Fit: Physical forward who can provide frontcourt scoring, activity, and paint production in a defined offensive role.

Productive power forward with strong season output (19.8 PPG, 6.5 RPG) and solid paint efficiency (56% FG). Scores through activity, touch, and physicality, but turnover management and perimeter shooting remain areas to refine.

Jacari White | 6’3 – 191 cm | Antwerp Giants | Shooting guard

Fit: Shooting guard who can provide immediate floor spacing, perimeter scoring, and off-ball value in structured offensive systems.

Perimeter-oriented scorer with strong shooting consistency across levels (39.8% 3PT at NDSU; 43.4% 3PT at Virginia). Thrives as a catch-and-shoot threat and floor spacer, producing scoring without high usage, while offering limited playmaking value.

Strengths: Perimeter shooting and spacing – Off-ball scoring – Efficient scoring profile

Risk: Limited playmaking and on-ball creation
