INTRODUCTION
Jacob Polakovich finished his college career at Southern Indiana where his presence in the paint made him the third-best rebounder in the entire NCAA at 12.8 on average. First team in the OVC in his first year in Division-I (the year before the Screaming Eagles were in Division-II, where he was named to the first team of the GLVC), he is a player of great physical impact, very good at taking positions and with decent mobility which makes him a solid roller. Good finisher (over 62% in D-II and 55.7% in D-I) doesn’t have much movement from the low post and prefers to be served on the move off the ball. When doubled he has the ability to pass the ball decently (1.2 assists, especially for teammate Trevor Lakes on the perimeter).
On the defensive end Polakovich guarantees a lot of solidity near the basket in static situations but he is in difficulty as a rim protector (only 0.3 blocks per match) and in the timing of doubles he risks having problems with fouls. If catched to the perimeter he can be a target for the opponents faster
