Beyond the Boxscore
A memorable three-day stretch for Noah Reynolds, who followed his FIBA Europe Cup Player of the Week honors (33 points and a historic 9/9 from deep) with another standout performance leading Prievidza’s road upset for second place, confirming both leadership and fast European adaptation. Khalil Brantley keeps rising too: his Tamis Pancevo stays firmly second in the KLS thanks to his craft in pick-and-roll reads and his ability to draw contact and convert from the line. Further south, Cesare Edwards delivered his season-best game in the Kosovo derby, pushing Peja to remain unbeaten and top of the standings, showing that rookies can truly impact even ambitious, contending teams. Our Balkan tour ends in North Macedonia, where Jacob Hutson dominated with a monster double-double and a 50 index rating in a one-possession win.
Among those already competing at a higher level, Nelly Joseph proved once again to be an elite finisher: 21 points and 10 rebounds as SIG Strasbourg took down Le Mans, handing them their second loss and drawing level at 5–2 in the BetClic Elite standings. In Israel, Otis Frazier’s efficiency keeps turning heads, even in defeat versus the powerhouse Maccabi Tel Aviv, he’s averaging 17.5 points and 6 rebounds in his first European games. All of them were already part of our preseason scouting coverage. A reminder that finding value early is what makes the difference once the real games begin.
HONORABLE MENTION: Strong week from Brandon Huntley-Hatfield (Keravnos, Cyprus) with 22 pts, 17 rbs, 4 blk and a 43 index in a blowout win. Also from Cyprus, Jamarii Thomas (Apollon Limassol) led his team back into playoff contention with 24 pts and 6 ast for a 32 index.
Scouting Radar

Looking for the Step Up – Joe Bryant
BK Pardubice – 185 cm – [READ THE PROFILE]
Third professional season for the former Norfolk State guard, who has shown flashes of real potential but hasn’t yet landed the right opportunity to move up. Impactful rookie year in Poland with Slask Wroclaw-II (including multiple EuroCup double-digit games), followed by a scoring run in the Greek Elite League where he averaged over 20 per game. Now part of a playoff-caliber team, he combines compact strength and defensive reactivity (2.1 steals per game), but his inconsistent 3-P shot remains the key barrier to a higher level.
Our Take: In a smaller frame and context, he recalls Charles Jenkins, a high-volume NCAA scorer who evolved into a defensive asset. Could become a rotation player in a top-10 European league if he adds reliability from beyond the arc.
Next Step – Jacob Groves
Basket Brno – 206 cm – [READ THE PROFILE]
Former of Oklahoma and Virginia, he had a solid rookie campaign in Sheffield before moving to Brno. A modern stretch-four: efficient, active off-the-ball, and able to space the floor effectively. Fits well next to athletic frontcourt partners who can offset his limited rebounding presence. Now gaining continental experience in the FIBA Europe Cup, showing solid feel and efficiency even if not yet a natural facilitator.
Our Take: His ability to play within the flow of the game gives him long-term upside. In the right structure, with complementary bigs around him, he could establish himself as a reliable role player in higher-level competitions.
Waiting the Blooming- David Bohm
SK Slavia Praha – 206 cm – [READ THE PROFILE]
One of the most intriguing Czech prospects. After two NCAA seasons at Northern Kentucky, he returned to Europe with mixed results in Spain (LEB Oro) and Germany (ProA), before taking on a leading role back home. A versatile two-way forward capable of attacking from the post or stretching the floor (38.5% from three on 4.3 attempts).
Our Take: As a Bosman-A player, he remains an appealing target for clubs seeking rotational depth. Hasn’t yet completed his full leap in consistency, but at 24 – and with growing international experience – he’s still trending upward.
Slashing Guard – Dashawn Davis
BK Decin – 188 cm – [READ THE PROFILE]
Explosive combo guard who thrives as a slasher, absorbing contact and finishing through traffic. MVP and champion in Norway last season, he’s already made noise at a higher level, averaging 18 points and scoring 26 against Nymburk. Shows promising accuracy from deep, though on limited volume (42.9% on 2 attempts per game), and must improve decision-making under pressure.
Our Take: Fits perfectly in high-usage guard roles typical of second-tier leagues, where physical creators can dominate. With better shot selection and consistency from 3-P, he could evolve into a reliable backcourt option for mid-level European teams.
Early Notes: Among rookies, keep an eye on Trey Bonham (Bryant’s teammate at Pardubice) and Kevin Kalu (Groves’ teammate at Brno). Both are showing encouraging signs early in their European careers.
