INTRODUCTION
Dashawn Davis began his collegiate career at the junior college level, where he was named an NJCAA All-American in 2021. His standout performance earned him a spot at Oregon State, where he immediately entered the starting lineup alongside Jarod Lucas. He finished the season as the team’s second-leading scorer and top playmaker, averaging 5.5 assists per game. Davis then transferred to Mississippi State, where he spent two seasons as a key contributor, helping the Bulldogs reach back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances while playing alongside D.J. Jeffries, Cameron Matthews, and Tolu Smith. He is a good athlete, quick with the ball, and capable of absorbing contact when attacking the rim. While his slashing ability and skill in creating off the dribble are evident, he struggles to maintain consistency from beyond the arc, shooting 33.3% on 2.7 attempts per game throughout his college career. Davis is effective in pick-and-roll situations and shows good vision as a facilitator, having consistently posted a solid assist-to-turnover ratio (+2.0). Defensively, he can apply pressure on the ball and be disruptive in the passing lanes, averaging 1.6 steals per game. However, there is still room for growth in terms of rotation timing and overall defensive discipline.
Overall, Dashawn Davis is a talented combo guard who, if he becomes more consistent from three-point range, has the tools to build a solid professional career at a good European level.
