I am Lorenzo Belli, an independent basketball scout and founder of Basketball Scouting Service.

My work focuses on helping professional clubs identify realistic targets, monitor relevant markets and make better-informed recruitment decisions.

Over the years, I have built Basketball Scouting Service as a scouting platform, player database and portfolio of player evaluations, with a focus on NCAA, rookie and international markets.

How I Work

My scouting approach combines analytics, full-game evaluation, context and role translation.

Data is an important part of my process: it helps identify trends, filter large player pools and highlight profiles worth deeper evaluation. The final assessment, however, comes from watching full games and understanding how a player’s skills, decisions, physical profile and limitations translate to a specific professional environment.

The goal is not to collect names, but to understand which players are realistic, useful and worth deeper evaluation for a club.
