Beyond the Boxscore
Jamarii Thomas set the tone for the week with a poised all-around display. He led Apollon to a key win, thanks to sharp decision-making and constant defensive activity. A similar impact came from Marques Warrick, who delivered another efficient scoring night and showed the same balance he had in Northern Kentucky. Among the perimeter-oriented players, Julius Dixon also stood out in Portugal. He hit 5/7 from deep and added solid rebounding, showing once again that rookies who adapt fast often do it through efficiency, not volume.
Inside the paint, the double-doubles shaped this week’s narrative. In Slovakia, Caleb Kenney imposed his physicality on both ends and anchored Spissky Rytieri in one of their cleanest outings of the month. Further north, in Latvia, Frankie Fidler delivered his most impactful performance yet. It came in a big-match for the top positions, confirming his status as one of the most reliable rookies so far: efficient at every level, active on the glass, and involved in winning plays. Even in a losing effort, Elijah Hutchins produced the eye-catcher of the round. His 20+ double-double showed how naturally his strength and motor translate to the European game.
HONORABLE MENTION: Javian McCollum (ZZ Leiden) delivered a historic performance in the upset win over Belgian champions Oostende: 46 points, 7 assists, and a 60 index. Another name added to the growing list of BNXT rookies making immediate impact.
Rookie Top-10: Who’s Already Delivering at a Pro Level
An impact-based ranking highlighting which newcomers are translating college skills into real European value, and why.
10 – Khalif Battle
Dolomiti Energia Trento (ITA) – 196 cm
After an injury delayed his start, he’s now finding rhythm with four straight games above 15 ppg. His ability to create shots at this level is clear, and the mental approach has been encouraging. Improving the 3-P consistency is the next step to stabilise his impact.
9 – T.J. Bamba
Rasta Vechta (GER) – 196 cm
Strong early production across BBL and Fiba Europe Cup, even as his usage dipped in a guard-heavy system. His physical tools and defensive activity give Vechta important balance on the perimeter. Needs to adjust to European officiating, with foul trouble limiting his minutes so far.
8 – Lynn Kidd
Tofas Bursa (TUR) – 208 cm – [READ THE PROFILE]
Exceptionally efficient in limited minutes: 8 points and 3.5 rebounds in 11 minutes on 75% shooting across domestic and BCL play. His role remains small due to the presence of Marek Blažević, but the per-minute output speaks for itself. A profile with clear room to grow.
7 – Isaiah Swope
Fraport Skyliners Frankfurt (GER) – 178 cm – [READ THE PROFILE]
Small frame, big production. He’s translating the Indiana State/St. Louis identity with 14.5 points and 4.5 assists while keeping Frankfurt competitive. Shot selection and turnovers need refinement, but his impact and confidence have stood out immediately.
6 – Otis Frazier
Elitzur Netanya (ISR) – 198 cm – [READ THE PROFILE]
On a struggling team, he has taken real responsibility: top scorer, strong rebounder, and shooting nearly 40% from deep on high volume. If this efficiency holds, he’ll accelerate his path toward higher-level clubs. A bright spot in a difficult context.
5 – Great Osobor
Science City Jena (GER) – 203 cm
One of the most anticipated rookies, and he’s delivering. Nearly 16 ppg with improved spacing (36.8% from 3-P) and a breakout 28-point night vs Oldenburg. Needs more presence on the glass (4.7 rpg), but the offensive profile continues to trend upward.
4 – Terrence Edwards
Avtodor Saratov (RUS) – 198 cm – [READ THE PROFILE]
A versatile all-around wing producing at a high level in VTB: 16.5 points, 5.4 rebounds and activity across the board. Shooting efficiency remains an area to improve, but his adaptability and ability to impact multiple phases make him one of the most complete rookies so far.
3 – Mady Sissoko
Pallacanestro Trieste (ITA) – 206 cm – [READ THE PROFILE]
A surprise breakout: elite finisher (65% FG, 76% in BCL), strong rebounder and reliable rim-protector. He thrives in a system built to give him space around the paint, and he rewards it with constant energy. Must manage fouls better, but the early impact is undeniable.
2 – Marcus Foster
Syntainics Weissenfels (GER) – 196 cm
Leader of one of the early surprises in BBL, averaging 14.5 points with 38.7% from deep on solid volume. His scoring versatility and maturity have kept Weissenfels competitive. A steady, reliable guard who looks fully ready for top-domestic roles.
1 – Nelly Joseph
SIG Strasbourg (FRA) – 208 cm – [READ THE PROFILE]
Currently the best rebounder in the French league (8.5 per game) and one of the most efficient bigs in the country (68.6% FG on nearly 9 attempts). Three-time Eurobasket Player of the Week, anchoring a Strasbourg team sitting at 6–2. Consistent, physical, and already a frontline contributor.
