INTRODUCTION
Sincere Carry, after his experience at Duquesne, moved to Kent State where, alongside Malique Jacobs, he formed the back-court that reached the 2023 MAC title (after losing in the finals the previous year). He was Conference MVP in 2022, included in both the best team and the defensive team for both years, and received an invitation to PIT ’23. A handler with important qualities of speed and ability to change direction, he excels at taking a shot from the dribble, although he hasn’t made great percentages from beyond the three-point arc (30.9% on 6 attempts), and his high-paced style of play leads to a few too many turnovers (2.6), which are compensated by his great ability to find teammates on the perimeter or in pick-and-roll situations (4.8 assists per game).
However, defensively he is challenged by his size, but he possesses very quick hands and great timing in double-teaming (1.7 steals) while also applying strong pressure on his direct opponent.
