INTRODUCTION
Javion Hamlet and his floaters made him a celebrity at North Texas, the university team he led to a stunning upset against Purdue at the 2021 Big Dance. Despite not having lightning speed, he is skilled at finding the basket from the dribble, and he is also able to make an impact from beyond the arc, although he relatively underutilizes this option. His playmaking abilities (6.2 assists in his collegiate four-year career) combined with an adequate physique make him a prospect well-suited for European basketball. While his undeniable handling abilities sometimes lead him to overdo it and give away a few too many turnovers, if we consider this as a manageable youthful flaw, the only concerns remaining are regarding his real defensive consistency and character: three college changes, only four games played in France last year before hibernating in the G-League.
