INTRODUCTION

Thomas Bell is a slender and athletic player who has contributed to the growth of the green nation of North Texas alongside Javion Hamlet, who, interestingly, was found right in the England for his first professional season. Skilled at moving without the ball and cutting to the basket where he can comfortably deliver highlights, but it’s not the only tool at his disposal in offense: smart at exploiting mismatches, he becomes a scoring machine close to the rim with his left hand. If defended by a slower player, he doesn’t hesitate to put the ball on the floor despite some risk leading to turnovers. His shooting release from beyond the arc is slow. Thomas Bell can be dangerous from set shots, while catch-and-shoot situations are currently not in his repertoire (29% in the season that concluded his college experience), allowing opponents to better read situations and afford softer closeouts. Defensively, he is good against his man but less effective when it comes to rotating. This indiscipline sometimes costs his team dearly, but he guarantees presence and a certain intimidation factor (0.8 blocks per game in college) in protecting the rim.
