INTRODUCTION
Marcus Ottey played four seasons in double figures with Illinois-Chicago, finishing his NCAA career with over 1500 points, 400 rebounds, 240 assists, and a spot on the Horizon League All-Defensive Team. After a rookie season in Luxembourg where he was one of the best combo guards with Vinnie Shahid, he returned to his home country – Canada – where he split time between BSL, winning the title three times, and CEBL. With great slashing skills, he attacks 1v1 off the dribble decisively and can absorb contact near the rim. His three-point shooting is not very consistent, which limits his offensive versatility. His athleticism combined with his energy makes him a highly productive defender on the perimeter. Experienced and skilled, he is a player capable of making a significant contribution to a mid-to-low tier European league team.
