INTRODUCTION
Jayden Dewaal played two seasons at the JuCo level before transferring to Mercy College, where he posted averages close to a double-double in the 63 games played (12.3 ppg and 9.8 rebounds). Physically strong and able to absorb contact in the paint, he is a reliable finisher. A powerful inside player with both hands, he can attack the rim from the post-up or as a roller. His mid-range shooting is a work in progress. He needs to pay more attention to his handling and managing possessions (2.3 turnovers per game), although he shows some good facilitation skills. Defensively, he is a solid presence as a rebounder and rim protector but needs to better manage foul troubles (3.1 in 27 minutes in the last season). A solid inside player with a good attitude towards physical contact, he could make an immediate difference in an entry-level league club.
