INTRODUCTION
Reese McDonald, after playing two seasons at the JuCo level and one at Ferris State, transferred to the Bulldogs where he became a standout. In his last season, he achieved his career highs and was named to the second team of the Carolinas Conference.
Reese McDonald is a reliable scorer off the dribble, able to create space for a shot in any situation thanks to his handling skills. He is a good athlete, quick, and with sufficient size to make plays at the rim. At the moment, he needs to work on his 3-P shooting (28.9% on 2.9 attempts per game) to become a complete offensive weapon. Improving his playmaking skills could turn him into a point guard. His passing ability (5.4 assists in his last season) is not always combined with good readings, and he could also improve his shot selection. Defensively, his quickness and athleticism allow him to be very active. Adept at stealing possessions (1.9 steals) and grabbing rebounds that he then leads into fast breaks. A player of definite interest, he is suitable for any team in a mid-level European league.
