POTENTIAL
INTRODUCTION
Michael Bradley played for four years in NCAA Division-II with Mercyhurst where he scored over 1100 points and was named to the first team of the PSAC-West Conference in 2023. For his graduate player season, he transferred to the Norse where he was the top assist-man of the Horizon League and shared the backcourt with the talented Marques Warrick.
PHYSICAL
Michael Bradley has a decent size as a point guard, good quickness that allows him to be very incisive in ball-handling situations. He doesn’t have much strength, which makes him less effective around the rim and when he has to absorb contact in the paint. Very reactive with his hands and has good coordination and lateral mobility, excellent tools for the defensive phase.
OFFENSIVE PHASE
Michael Bradley is a point guard with excellent ball-handling and playmaking skills (4.6 assists per game, the best in the Horizon League) capable of creating space for a shot off the dribble with ease. In pick and roll situations, he can read the opponent defense choices and find a teammate (+2.74 assist/turnover ratio, was +3.22 in his last season in Division-II). In terms of scoring, he is very skilled at creating space from the mid-range or with floaters, but struggles to drive to the rim due to his physical size. As a three-point shooter (37.9% on 4.3 attempts per game), he is more effective in off-the-ball situations than off the dribble. He exhibits strong leadership and clutch abilities as evidenced in his seasons at Mercyhurst.
DEFENSIVE PHASE
Michael Bradley is very mobile and dynamic with reactive hands and a good presence on passing lanes (1.4 steals per match). Able to put great pressure on the direct opponent, he possesses good ability in rotations and timing for close-outs but struggles in the paint against opponents of a stronger size. Overall, he is a player with energy and commitment, but it is not enough to make him a factor on his own half of the court at the moment.
IMPROVED AREAS
Michael Bradley is a solid point guard with good playmaking abilities, but to become more versatile offensively, he should work on his body to attack the rim. The combination of physical and athletic skills may limit his upside, but he remains an important technical quality player who can have a significant career in medium to lower level leagues in Europe.
