INTRODUCTION
Jalen Slawson is an all-around player who can be useful on the court in every situation. Athletic and with good positional sense, he provides a valuable contribution in rebounding and defense; his mobility allows for a certain efficiency in help defense and intimidation (1.7 blocks on average). His long and lean physique may not favor him in switches against big men, but as a good team player, he knows how to manage when necessary. His facilitator skills are the strong point in offense (3.7 assists last year), but he can also score by driving to the basket, moving without the ball, and attacking off the dribble. He uses his three-point shot with a certain ease – almost 4 attempts on average – but the percentages are still to be interpreted: 36.8% in his junior year, dropping to 30.6% in his senior year, and in this fifth year, he seems to have been targeting the wrong mark. Overall, he is a complete player capable of doing everything, but without a standout talent: the perfect glue guy.
