INTRODUCTION
Brad Greene was a former UC Irvine player who was mentioned in the second team of the Big-West Conference and nominated for the Defensive team. This Californian giant, with surprising mobility and coordination, has quite skilled hands despite a rather limited shooting range, as he prefers – quite rightly – to get close to the rim where he can make the most of his size and soft touch. A formidable screener who guarantees an easy target for passing the ball, his presence under the basket ensures second chances for offensive rebounds and he provides valid intimidation defensively. Clearly, his lateral movements are not suitable for limiting faster opponents, and when he steps out of his comfort zone, it’s common to see him struggle with foul management.
It’s hard to imagine him as a major protagonist, but he can become an interesting tactical weapon off the bench, and given his relative autonomy, this is probably the role that suits him best to reach medium or high levels in Europe.
