INTRODUCTION
Nelly Cummings is a small-size handler with good leadership skills who for three years played in double figures at Colgate – qualifying for the Tournament twice – before transferring to Pittsburgh in his final year of eligibility. Unlike many colleagues in his position, he is not a ball-hog, and in fact, he has significantly improved in the last season in involving his teammates. However, he still has a wide range of options to score: if the almost obsolete shooting ot the dribble to the mid-range is the preferred choice when faced with an intimidator, there are also decisive attacks at the rim. His three-point shot is reliable, and although not overly stylish, he can be considered a complete scorer. On defense, he is tenacious against his direct opponent and fairly reactive on the passing lanes. Physically, he is compact, but in mismatches where the height difference is too great, he needs help.
