Marcus Zegarowski, after three years of good performance at Creighton, received a call from the Nets in the 2021 draft. Second round at number 49, assigned to G-League, perhaps the least suitable environment. A point guard who has all the characteristics to be an old-school playmaker. Charismatic, determined, and almost always in control with a certain authority, he doesn’t shy away from putting points on the board. His three-point shot is reliable, more in catch and shoot situations than off the dribble, while he struggles to drive to the basket where his less-than-elite athleticism tends to hold him back. To dream of the NBA, he would need more muscle mass and different quickness that would make him viable at that level defensively.
