INTRODUCTION
Blake Francis is a left-handed combo guard with important offensive qualities, adept at moving off the ball. His strength lies in a lightning-quick first step that culminates with a variety of floaters to evade the opposing defense. Three-point shooting has always been his specialty (38.6% in NCAA career), both off the dribble and on catch-and-shoot opportunities, while passing is not exactly his first thought. He is skilled at involving teammates only in pick-and-roll situations, lacking exceptional reading abilities, and it is always helpful to have someone in the lineup who can do that for him – at Richmond, it was Grant Golden. On the other hand, he excels in ball-handling and turnovers are rare.
Defensively, he shows sufficient effort, especially when guarding his own man, and can apply pressure capable of disrupting opponents. He began his professional career in the G-League and the Canadian league, and in Europe, he could make a solid impact in mid-level leagues.
