INTRODUCTION

Deondre Burns broke out during his final NCAA season after transferring from Little Rock to Oral Roberts, where he played alongside Max Abmas and Kevin Obanor. His energy and versatility on the perimeter contributed to Oral Roberts’ Cinderella run in the NCAA Tournament.

Since moving to Europe, Burns has added consistency to his perimeter shooting, complementing his natural ability to attack the rim. His strength in absorbing contact makes him effective as a slasher, giving him the tools to score at multiple levels. While at times still streaky and somewhat wild offensively, he can operate off the ball and provides secondary playmaking, though not with primary-creator instincts. Defensively, Burns offers activity and athletic tools, but he is not a difference-maker on that end. He can provide effort on the ball and some rebounding help, yet his overall impact remains limited compared to his offensive role.

Deondre Burns has already achieved international success, including an MVP award in the Cypriot Finals after collecting accolades in Switzerland. Overall, he is a proven scorer with a strong competitive background, capable of boosting the offensive punch of clubs at the European mid-level, even if his defensive presence is secondary.
