INTRODUCTION

Chauncey Wiggins developed at Clemson before transferring to Florida State for his senior season. He contributed in both rotation and starting roles at the high-major level and also earned academic recognition, including All-ACC Academic Team honors. At Florida State, he became a more productive player, setting personal highs in minutes, points and rebounds. Wiggins profiles as a stretch forward whose value is mainly built around floor spacing, perimeter shooting and off-ball scoring.

OFFENSIVE PROFILE

Chauncey Wiggins operates as a perimeter-oriented frontcourt scorer. His offensive role is centered on 3-P shooting and spacing, allowing him to function effectively in structured half-court systems. With the Seminoles, he showed improved production and efficiency on solid volume, shooting 38.7% from 3-P range on 5.8 attempts per game. Thanks to his size, he can provide some presence around the rim, converting 61% from 2-P range, but he still needs to better structure his body and absorb contact more effectively in traffic. He is most effective as a complementary scorer who can produce without high usage. His low assist numbers confirm limited playmaking value, and he does not profile as a facilitator. His offensive impact depends primarily on shooting efficiency and off-ball positioning rather than self-created offense.

DEFENSIVE PROFILE

Chauncey Wiggins offers size and length but provides limited statistical impact on the defensive end. He does not project as a true rim protector, and while he can occupy space as a positional defender, he struggles to generate plays in passing lanes or create defensive events (0.3 steals per game). His rebounding production is modest for his size, averaging 3.9 rebounds in his senior season. His defensive value is tied more to positioning, discipline and role execution than to physical dominance or consistent disruption.

DEVELOPMENT AREAS

Increasing his rebounding and rim-protection production is a priority given his size and frontcourt role. He needs to become more present defensively, both through physicality and activity around the basket. Offensively, expanding his contribution beyond spot-up shooting would make him more versatile, especially by improving interior finishing, attacking closeouts and adding basic connective passing. Adding strength for interior matchups will also be important to improve his translation to the professional level.
