Beyond the Boxscore

A week to remember for DeLonnie Hunt, who followed his 44-point explosion against Split with another dominant outing, closing a four-day stretch with 77 total points and 92 index. The Dinamo Zagreb guard continues to operate in an exceptional offensive rhythm, consistently creating advantages both in transition and in half-court situations. More consistent throughout the season has instead been the production of Dante Maddox, with Aalst climbing to second place in the standings, while Nelly Joseph delivered another double-double in a high-level matchup, once again asserting his presence around the rim. Max Jones also added a solid performance in Manchester’s road win, helping his team consolidate third place in the standings and continuing a productive stretch already highlighted in previous weeks.

Both Robert Carpenter and Jalil Beaubrun celebrated victories alongside their standout performances, marking their first appearance in the weekly selection. Carpenter delivered one of the most efficient scoring displays of the week, shooting an impressive 15/20 from the field while impacting the game on both ends. Beaubrun, meanwhile, dominated the paint with a double-double built on highly efficient finishing near the rim, combining interior scoring, rebounding presence and defensive activity in Lucenec’s victory.

HONORABLE MENTION: Lynn Kidd (Tofas Bursa) delivered a strong impact in the city derby victory after overtime, scoring 17 points in just 17 minutes with perfect efficiency around the rim (6/7 2P), confirming a solid return after his recent injury.

Scouting Radar

Recent developments have led to the suspension of the Israeli domestic competitions, creating uncertainty around the short-term landscape of the league. While basketball inevitably becomes secondary in moments like these, situations like this can also reshape roster dynamics across the international market.

For clubs monitoring potential opportunities, several players currently performing in Israel remain profiles worth tracking closely. Below are four names whose production and role translation make them relevant targets for teams evaluating the international market.

Otis Frazier | Elitzur Netanya | 6’6 – 198 cm

Physical two-way wing combining slashing production, defensive disruption and strong rebounding for his position. The key development has been his perimeter shooting growth (33% on 6.2 attempts), adding spacing value to an already high-motor profile. Operates best within structure rather than as a creator with the ball.

Our Take: A plug-and-play defensive wing whose improved shooting raises his market ceiling. Profiles as a rotation forward for top domestic leagues and continental competitions.

Joirdon Nicholas | Maccabi Ramat Gan | 6’9 – 206 cm

Mobile interior presence who brings activity around the rim, rebounding impact (9.4 rpg) and efficient finishing inside (58% from 2P). Thrives as a roller and second-chance scorer, playing with constant energy while covering space well defensively thanks to his mobility. Foul management and limited shooting range remain the main factors shaping his role.

Our Take: An energetic interior option whose motor and rim activity translate well to European rotations. Profiles as a mobile backup big capable of bringing immediate impact in up-tempo systems.

D.J. Burns | Maccabi Rishon-Lezion | 6’7 – 201 cm

Energetic forward whose impact comes through constant off-ball activity, rebounding presence (7.4 rpg) and defensive mobility. Plays with a high motor, finishing efficiently on cuts and second chances while contributing as a connective passer within the flow. Offensive ceiling is limited by inconsistent perimeter shooting (25% on 2.7 attempts) and a lack of self-creation.

Our Take: High-energy rotation forward capable of impacting games without usage. Profiles as a versatile depth piece for competitive European leagues built around defense and activity.

Tyrece Radford | Maccabi Raanana | 6’1 – 185 cm

Compact combo guard with strong physical tools and the ability to generate separation off the dribble. Creates offense primarily through downhill pressure, pull-ups and aggressive rim attacks while showing improving reads in pick-and-roll situations. Perimeter shooting has progressed (36.7% on 4.9 attempts) but still needs long-term consistency.

Our Take: Shot-creating guard suited for teams needing scoring punch and on-ball creation. Projects best in leagues where he can operate with offensive freedom and high usage.

Demetre Roberts | Ramat Hasharon | 5’8 – 173 cm

High-tempo handler who thrives in pick-and-roll orchestration and open-court playmaking (8.5 apg). Generates advantages through pace and ball pressure while consistently involving teammates and controlling game rhythm. Great speed to ensure rim pressure but the shot is not consistent (28% on 5.7 attempts). Size limitations affect defensive versatility.

Our Take: Competitive lead guard who can stabilize second units and push tempo. Fits best as a rotation primary handler in structured systems that value pace and decision-making.
