INTRODUCTION

Beni Fungula is a Swedish combo guard who has represented his country at the youth level in FIBA tournaments and built his collegiate career across multiple programs, including Colorado Springs (UCCS) and Montana State Billings. After completing his NCAA Division II experience, he turned professional and most recently played his rookie season with Flexachem KCYMS Killorglin in Ireland’s Superleague.

Beni Fungula combines solid athleticism and physical strength, allowing him to slash effectively to the rim, absorb contact, and finish plays. He moves well off the ball, runs the floor in transition, and uses his explosiveness to create scoring opportunities. His perimeter shooting showed encouraging signs during college (38.2% from three in Division II, albeit on limited attempts), adding versatility even if not yet his primary offensive weapon. In Ireland, he averaged 3.5 assists per game, displaying good playmaking instincts and the ability to generate advantages when defenses collapse on his drives. Improving his shooting consistency and tightening his ball-handling would further expand his offensive repertoire.

On the defensive end, Fungula leverages his strength, athleticism, and energy to guard multiple positions. He is effective on the ball, often pressuring opponents into turnovers and poor decisions, while also contributing as a rebounder (5.5 per game in Ireland). His timing and activity make him a reliable presence in both half-court and transition defense.

Overall, Beni Fungula is a mobile two-way guard with experience in both international competitions and professional leagues. His blend of slashing ability, playmaking, and defensive versatility makes him an intriguing profile for European teams seeking a Bosman-A player who can impact both ends of the floor.
