INTRODUCTION
Ashton Sherrell completed a long collegiate career, which included a few inactive seasons before returning to the court with the Golden Bulls. He emerged as a key player during his last seasons, earning All-Tournament Team honors in 2024 and a spot on the 2025 CIAA First Team. Sherrell is a power forward with solid length and a physical profile that combines size and mobility.
Offensively, Sherrell is capable of creating his own shot off the dribble, using strength and explosiveness to get to the rim and absorb contact effectively. He also utilizes his frame and footwork in the low post, where there is still room for refinement, but overall he proved to be a reliable finisher (64.9% from 2-point range on 7.3 attempts per game). While his three-point shot is still a developing part of his game, 2024–25 was the first season in which he attempted over one per contest, finishing at 31% on 1.3 attempts. His ability to facilitate has also shown encouraging signs, averaging 1.6 assists per game. However, improving his decision-making and limiting forced plays off the dribble will be key to reducing turnovers (2.3 per game).
On the defensive end, Sherrell’s size allows him to guard multiple positions and offer some rim protection (0.6 blocks per game). He’s active on the boards, collecting 5.3 rebounds per contest. That said, improving his lateral quickness would help him reduce foul trouble (2.5 fouls per game), particularly when defending in space or switching onto quicker players.
Overall, Ashton Sherrell is a physically impactful forward who can provide immediate value to teams at the mid-to-lower level of European leagues, or potentially play a leading role in an entry-level league. His size, motor, and finishing ability make him a solid profile.
