INTRODUCTION
Jalen Olivero is a crafty Dominican point-guard who spent his entire college career with the Cadets. He made an immediate impact, earning GNAC All-Rookie Team honors in 2022, and went on to score over 1,300 points and dish out 350 assists, ranking second all-time at Norwich. In 2024, he was also named to the GNAC All-Tournament Team.
Jalen Olivero combines high-level speed with solid ball-handling and shot-creation skills. Comfortable creating separation off the dribble, he’s effective with his mid-range pull-up and is a consistent three-point shooter (36.2% on 7.2 attempts per game). However, he tends to avoid traffic when attacking the rim due to his size, opting to drive only when he sees clear space, as physicality against bigger defenders can be a limiting factor. He manages pace well and shows a good ability to involve teammates, especially in pick-and-roll or drive-and-kick situations (2.9 assists per game). He still needs to improve his decision-making under pressure and overall possession management (2.1 turnovers per game), but his offensive skill set makes him a credible threat in multiple scenarios.
