INTRODUCTION
Giancarlo Bastianoni is a forward with Italian and Dominican Republic origin who has represented in youth tournaments. Recruited to Presbyterian, he transferred to North Georgia in D-2, where for three seasons he made a significant contribution, averaging double digits. In his senior season, he returned to D-1 with the Wildcats to take the place of Jaxson Baker. He played at a high level before an injury limited his year. Bastianoni is a versatile forward with a good touch around the basket, a solid finisher, and capable of utilizing his size in the post. Enhancing his three-point shooting would make him a very versatile player; he has shown consistent improvements (45.5% on 3.7 attempts) that, if confirmed, make him an interesting player for the European environment. With a solid presence on the boards, he has shown good playmaking skills but needs to manage possessions better and limit turnovers. For his rookie season, he is a prospect for the lower-leagues in major European countries thanks to his Bosman-A status.
