INTRODUCTION

Jared Bynum started his college career at St. Joseph’s where he was one of the best freshmen in the Atlantic-10. After his first season, he transferred to Providence, where his qualities as a floor general were prominently displayed: being named Sixth Man of the Year and selected for the Second Team of the Big East. In his final season, he played at Stanford.

A dynamic point guard with great creation abilities, he serves as a first-pass handler, he utilized his passing skills to help Nate Watson and Ed Croswell score simple lay-ups many times. With good leadership and vocal presence, he is a floor general who puts in considerable effort with teammates and does not hesitate to take a shot in a head to head match. In pick-and-roll situations, he has a decent pull-up shot; he typically doesn’t attack the rim, and his field goal percentage can be improved (39% over his 5 years in the NCAA). His three-point shooting up & down in the years (from 41.3% on 3.6 attempts to 32.7% on 2.9 in his last season), and he seems to lack the necessary consistency.

On the defensive end, he is good on the ball but undersized. Struggling against physically stronger opponents due to his limited size. A player with a superior basketball IQ who can be the perfect floor general for a mid-level team.
