INTRODUCTION
Samuel Sowunmi is a Nigerian big man who began his NCAA career with Oakland Golden Grizzlies before moving to the Lions after three seasons in Division I. A physically very strong player, he is an excellent finisher (57.7% from the field this season) and screener. He is a dominant presence on the boards (9.4 rebounds per game in 20 minutes of play) and provides rim protection (1 block per game) on the defensive phase. While his shooting range is limited, his power in the paint makes him an ideal profile for anyone looking for an inside player capable of making a difference on both ends of the court.
