INTRODUCTION
Joel Scott was named RMAC Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons and earned All-Conference honors every year during his time at Black Hills State. He reached the NCAA Division II Final Four twice, falling in the semifinals on both occasions, and finished his career just three rebounds shy of 1,000. Offensively, he left a mark in Division II history with 2,471 career points, establishing himself as one of the most productive scorers at that level.
At Colorado State, where he completed his collegiate career, Scott immediately confirmed his scoring qualities. He is a versatile forward who can attack the basket off the dribble or establish position in the post against smaller opponents. His physicality combined with mobility makes him effective as a roller, while his perimeter shot adds spacing value (39.6% on 2.7 three-point attempts per game across four years at Black Hills State).
Defensively, Scott shows solidity in static situations where he can leverage his frame. However, he can be late on perimeter rotations and his lateral quickness limits him against more mobile opponents. He compensates with consistent rebounding presence (9.6 rebounds per game in his senior season) and secondary rim protection (1.1 blocks per game).
