INTRODUCTION
Carlos Pepin had a university career at ESU where he showcased his physical abilities while also excelling in football and track and field. He was named to the first team of the PSAC East twice and was the Player of the Year in 2022. With great mobility, he moves well off the ball, making him a challenging player to defend against, as he can leverage his physique to attack the rim if his opponent is less physically strong. He is an excellent offensive rebounder (averaging 3.4 in his last season) and a finisher who also provides some highlight-reel dunks. He needs to improve his shooting percentages from beyond the arc (24.1% on 1.7 attempts) to enhance his versatility in the offensive phase, which he is able to ensure in the defensive phase due to his athleticism and lateral mobility that allows him to limit even guards. Pepin has a good instinct as a rim protector (0.9 blocks per game) and thief (1.6 steals last season).
