INTRODUCTION: Originally from Michigan he tried to be a prophet in pathria but after three seasons on Tom Izzo’s bench at Michigan State he moved to the Wildcats to have a central role, an objective achieved since he found over 30 minutes played with over 16 points and 4 assists with two Atlantic 10 Conference Second Team nominations. Despite losing the 2022 final he participated in the NCAA Tournament

PHYSICAL: Limited size with poor athleticism and physicality that don’t help him in contacts against opponents who are often more structured in the body. He doesn’t have the speed to play too fast and lacks the first step, he clearly compensates with a great knowledge of the game, intangibles and with a good work ethic that allows him to hold the court despite not having the physical tools to great level

OFFENSIVE PHASE: Skilled point guard with important passing skills (4.5 assists per game) both from pick and roll situations and in the organization of offensive sets. He doesn’t have a first step that helps him and he has to play more on timing to attack his direct opponent and try to go to the glass, he remains mainly a solid shooter from beyond the arc despite having recorded a clear deterioration in the last season (from 43.8% in 2022 to 32.3% in 2023). He has a great personality and takes shots like a real floor general in the head-to-head finals and also a very accurate free throw shooter (two seasons over 90% with the Wildcats) which he also knows how to earn with a lot of smart plays

DEFENSIVE PHASE: He has problems against taller or quicker/athletic opponents and can compensate with his great basketball IQ in order not to penalize his teammates too much. Good lateral mobility allows them to suffer some fouls in attack, decent timing for doubling and on the passing lines (1.7 steals per game) as well as being very reactive on long rebounds so as to grab a good number (4.3 per match) to translate in offensive fast breaks

IMPROVED AREAS: He seems like a fairly defined player with specific characteristics that can make him a good leader and a clutch player but he can hardly make progress from a physical and athletic point of view while working. With more experience he can become a player with better defensive skills but overall he seems suitable for a medium European level thanks to his personality
