INTRODUCTION

Cameron Gooden is a small-sized point guard who showcased strong scoring ability in his final season at Utah Tech, earning a spot on the All-WAC Second Team. Extremely quick, he uses his explosive first step to break down defenses, attacking the rim or creating opportunities for teammates on the perimeter (3.4 assists per game). However, his aggressive offensive style sometimes leads to rushed decisions, reflected in his 2.8 turnovers per game.

From the perimeter, Gooden proved to be an efficient shooter, hitting 39.9% from three on 4.9 attempts per contest, particularly effective in spot-up situations rather than off the dribble. Defensively, his lack of size and physical strength can be an issue, but he compensates with good anticipation and reactivity, often generating steals by disrupting passing lanes.

Overall, Gooden is a quick and dynamic guard with scoring instincts and perimeter shooting ability, though his decision-making and physical limitations remain areas for improvement. He projects as a potential contributor in fast-paced systems, particularly in leagues where guards with speed and spacing impact can thrive.
