INTRODUCTION

Zach Cooks is a small-size but highly dynamic handler, always on the move like a tightrope walker, causing damage to opposing defenses with his sudden bursts and incursions to the basket, which he reaches naturally from both sides. He handles contacts well despite not having an imposing physicality and doesn’t hesitate to dish out some assists when doubled with the right timing (3 on average in the last college season), but this uncompromising and consuming style of play is a necessity since his three-point shooting percentages have never been impressive, closing the last season with a less than impressive 29%. In defense, he is a constant threat with his cunning and quick hands, averaging two steals during his university career, although he predictably struggles with mismatches due to his stature. He began his professional career in Austria, and although it is not a top-level championship, it’s worth noting that he started the season with an encouraging 42.6% from three-point range on six attempts per game (average points in the early games are 25.6 per game).
