INTRODUCTION
Grant Basile has Italian roots, which undoubtedly could provide him with greater attention if he had an EU passport. In recent seasons, he has confirmed that he has a strong connection with basketball, significantly expanding his shooting range (almost 4 shots beyond the arc per game), but he needs to work on this to become a reliable shooter. Currently, his comfort zone is in the post where he can attack or find teammates’ cuts thanks to valid reads. His mobility isn’t the best, but that doesn’t prevent him from effectively defending the rim (1.6 blocks on average), making him useful on the boards as well. However, when taken to the perimeter, he struggles against quicker and faster opponents due to his limited lateral mobility. After his years at Wright State, he decided to transfer to Virginia Tech, his last high-level showcase before entering the professional environment.
