INTRODUCTION
Sukhmail Mathon is an inside player with a wide range of movements and pump fakes from the post, with a somewhat nostalgic taste, very cerebral. He has the patience to spin the opponents out and, for the rest, he manages with timing and a sense of position that make him a formidable rebounder on both ends (over 10 on average in the last college season). Despite the moves to free himself under the basket, his mobility and foot speed are limited, which makes him not very impactful on situations of pick and roll or cutting to the rim. In defense, if switched onto a perimeter player, he becomes an easy target to attack. His release sensitivity has improved over the years, in fact, free throws are no longer a taboo (78.5%), but in terms of mid-range – let alone the outside shot – he is still not reliable. His professional player adventure will begin in the Netherlands.
