INTRODUCTION

M.J. Walker is an athletic swingman with a reliable outside shot, particularly effective as a catch-and-shoot threat from beyond the arc. He plays well off the ball, making smart cuts and attacking the rim with purpose, often finishing above the rim and providing highlight-worthy plays. However, his ball-handling remains an area for improvement. At this stage, he struggles to consistently create his own shot off the dribble, especially inside the arc, and his decision-making can lead to unnecessary turnovers.

Defensively, he brings high energy and physicality. He’s aggressive at the point of attack and can switch across multiple positions thanks to a well-built frame and quick feet. That said, his overly physical approach sometimes gets him into foul trouble, and he needs to improve his discipline on that end.

If he shifts focus away from the NBA, where he appeared briefly with Phoenix, and embraces a defined 3&D role, he has the tools to become an impact player at a solid European level. His combination of athleticism, shooting, and defensive versatility makes him a strong candidate for teams looking to add a competitive, two-way wing.
