INTRODUCTION
Kylor Kelley is a big man who stays in the paint, a rarity these days, but this long-limbed player doesn’t like to stray far from the painted area and is perfectly comfortable with deep catches where he can leverage his physical qualities. Agile and quick for his size, he can be effective both in close and from the post, but his extremely limited shooting range makes him somewhat predictable. He is much more complete defensively, having confirmed during his season in England a tendency to block anything that approaches the rim (averaging 2.9 blocks, he even reached 3.4 in his days at Oregon State) and it is commendable that he does not waste fouls foolishly, especially for a player who tends to contest opposing shots. He needs to improve his rebounding position, but his long limbs help him remain competitive. Kylor Kelley can become a quality rim protector, and it wouldn’t be surprising if, in a few years, he finds himself at the end of a notable bench contributing quality minutes.
