INTRODUCTION

If you need a pure scorer, Antoine Davis is the right name. A couple of years ago, he was even credited with a future in the NBA, but the hype has decreased despite finishing a four-year stint averaging nearly 25 points per game, slightly declining in order to involve his teammates. His DNA is that of a pure scorer: a spectacle to watch, even with crazy shooting attempts, he abuses the pull-up three-pointer, yet his percentages (a solid 37%) tend to justify his approach. Not exactly a floor general, he loves fast-paced play and – some might say maliciously – turning the ball over, but his ability to score tends to balance it all out. Defensively, his height doesn’t help particularly; he can be pesky on-ball and his quickness is useful for snagging loose balls or long rebounds, but undeniably, it’s his defensive end where he performs worse. The first comparison that comes to mind is that with Marcus Keene seen in Varese.
