If you need a pure scorer, Antoine Davis is the right name. A couple of years ago, he was even credited with a future in the NBA, but the hype has decreased despite finishing a four-year stint averaging nearly 25 points per game, slightly declining in order to involve his teammates. His DNA is that of a pure scorer: a spectacle to watch, even with crazy shooting attempts, he abuses the pull-up three-pointer, yet his percentages (a solid 37%) tend to justify his approach. Not exactly a floor general, he loves fast-paced play and – some might say maliciously – turning the ball over, but his ability to score tends to balance it all out. Defensively, his height doesn’t help particularly; he can be pesky on-ball and his quickness is useful for snagging loose balls or long rebounds, but undeniably, it’s his defensive end where he performs worse.
