INTRODUCTION

Stefan Todorovic is a Serbian player who, after going through the youth sector of Partizan Belgrade, moved to America. After finishing high school, he was recruited to SMU, where he solidified his place in the rotations as the sixth man during his sophomore year. He moved to San Francisco, where he struggled to fit in, and in his senior season, he transferred to the Waves. He emerged as a standout player, earning All-WCC Honorable Mention honors. Todorovic led the team in points per game, ranking second in the West Coast Conference. Notably, he scored 558 of his career 881 points during his tenure at Pepperdine, including a season-high 33-point performance against UC San Diego.

PHYSICAL

Stefan Todorovic possesses a prototypical frame for a modern forward, providing him with the versatility to play in three positions. His size allows him to shoot over defenders and contribute effectively on the boards. While not exceptionally explosive, he demonstrates solid mobility and coordination, enabling him to navigate the court efficiently. His physicality aids in absorbing contact, and his durability is evident, having played significant minutes throughout the season (34.3 per game, fifth in WCC). However, enhancing his lateral quickness and overall athleticism would benefit his defensive versatility, especially when guarding more agile opponents.

OFFENSIVE PHASE

In his senior year, Stefan Todorovic demonstrated highly efficient scoring with a versatile offensive skill set. His ability to move off-the-ball and his understanding of the game allow him to navigate through screens. He excels in catch-and-shoot situations, with the speed and fluidity of his shooting mechanics making him difficult to limit for opponents coming off screens, both beyond the three-point arc (36.6% on 5.3 attempts) and from mid-range. While his technical cleanliness in creating space off the dribble, he prefers a pull-up over driving to the basket in traffic. His versatility allows him to contribute as a secondary handler and manage pick and rolls from which he can either take a shot or involve teammates (averaging 2.1 assists per game). However, he has room for improvement in managing possessions and reading defenses, and he needs to limit turnovers (2.2 on average). Overall, if placed in a structured offensive system, his abilities can be maximized. He is not an isolation player, and his shot selection is reliable.

DEFENSIVE PHASE

Stefan Todorovic leverages his size and basketball IQ to guard multiple positions effectively. He has good timing for help defense and, while not overly aggressive on passing lanes, he averages one steal per game, indicating a good sense of anticipation. His rebounding presence is solid for his size (5.5 rebounds per game), contributing to his team’s defensive efforts. However, his limited lateral agility may pose challenges when defending quicker opponents on the perimeter. Improving his foot speed and defensive positioning would enhance his ability to contain drives and close out on shooters more effectively.

IMPROVED AREAS

While Stefan Todorovic brings solid value as a shooter and off-ball mover, there are still key aspects of his game that need refining to succeed at the pro level. First, his limited lateral quickness and overall explosiveness may limit his impact on the defensive end, especially when switching or defending faster guards. Offensively, he must improve his ability to handle pressure and reduce turnovers, particularly when initiating plays or managing pick-and-roll situations. Lastly, adding more aggressiveness when attacking the rim, and learning to absorb contact rather than settling for pull-ups, would make him a more complete offensive threat. His ceiling can rise significantly if inserted into a structured environment that minimizes his athletic limitations and maximizes his tactical IQ. For his rookie year, he can guarantee an impact in a structured medium-high level European system if he does not decide to try the G-League.
