INTRODUCTION

Duke Deen is a point guard from Bradley. He began his college career at Panola College (NJCAA), where he was named to the third-team NJCAA All-America. He then transferred to Troy before deciding to move to Bradley for his junior season. In his (first) senior season at Bradley, he was named to the All-MVC First Team, finishing with 13.9 points and 3.9 assists per game.
Deen is capable of both running the offense (3.9 assists per game) and scoring himself (11.5 shot attempts per game). He is a good 3-P shooter (38.1% on 6.6 attempts per game), whether coming off screens in specific situations or after a pick-and-roll, mainly off the dribble. When in rhythm, he can definitely break open a game, he scored over 25 points five times in the season, and in three of those games, he hit more than 7 3-P Over the years, his role has grown more important, yet his turnovers have remained steady (1.8), a sign of increased experience and better ball and pace management. His mid-range jumper is also solid. However, his physical attributes (height) don’t help him, sometimes causing defensive issues. Overall, though, his on-ball defense remains excellent. In Europe, he could be a key player.
