INTRODUCTION
Casey Morsell is a slightly undersized combo guard with less than optimal playmaking ability but good shooting potential. In his last season at NC State, which ended in the Final 4, he played slightly below his potential with decreasing numbers especially regarding the offensive phase of the game. Despite this, he demonstrated that he also has a good shot from long range and an excellent propensity to earn and make a good number of free throws, doubling his numbers from the 22-23 season. Also during the 22-23 season he shot over 40% from long range. Unfortunately he suffers something physically as he doesn’t have a specific role on the court. His dribbling ability does not make him a reliable point guard except for sporadic occasions, furthermore against more robust opponents he can get into difficulty even when playing as a SG. Casey Morsell overall is a good prospect for European basketball where the physicality is less marked and there aren’t many pure point guards.
