INTRODUCTION
Quincy Olivari is a guard from Xavier. After spending 4 years at Rice, where he alternated between excellent seasons (sophomore and senior, averaging 16.3 and 18.7 points) and less successful ones (junior, averaging 9.9 points), he transferred to Xavier for his final college season. At Xavier, he demonstrated his full potential and strong prospects for a professional career (19.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.1 assists).
Olivari is an elite scorer, especially in one-on-one situations; shooting is his primary option, but he also knows how to drive to the basket and make excellent passes/assists. He doesn’t hesitate to shoot and be a threat if he sees an advantage. Clearly, sometimes he can go off track, with turnovers (1.6 per game, which he managed to limit in his last season compared to his time at Rice) or forced shots (he shoots 44% from two-point range). However, when he is in rhythm, he becomes lethal. Throughout his college career, he has always shot well from three-point range, finishing two seasons with 40.9%.
Defensively, he is a good player despite expending a lot of energy on offense. He also averages 1.4 steals per game.
In conclusion, Olivari could be a standout player in European basketball.
