INTRODUCTION
Terrell Burden is a point guard graduating from Kennesaw State, where he played for 5 seasons. His role has become increasingly important, leading to his nomination to the All-ASUN Second Team in 2022 and 2023. Burden is a floor general, capable of making an impact both in scoring (16.8 points per game and three times above 30 points in a season) and playmaking (6.3 assists per game on average). He is one of the top point guards to come out of college and will be of interest to the European market.
However, offensively, he does not shoot with great percentages, as he shoots 31% from three-point range (on 3.6 attempts) and 44.2% from the field (on 12.8 attempts). His free throw shooting is also not exceptional, at 64.3%. It would be ideal to place him in a context with many shooters, allowing him to penetrate the area and find an open teammate on the perimeter (excellent vision). His ball-handling is also good. Defensively, he is an average player. While he doesn’t possess exceptional athletic or physical abilities (178cm), he can still be disruptive in certain contexts (1.4 steals per game). In conclusion, Burden could be an interesting player to be inserted into Europe.
