INTRODUCTION
RaeQuan Battle is a scoring guard/wing who proved his value after transferring from the Big Sky to the Big 12, maintaining strong offensive production at a higher level of competition. He profiles as a natural scorer with the ability to create in multiple ways.
RaeQuan Battle is aggressive attacking the rim and comfortable in 1-on-1 situations. His long frame and agility allow him to generate separation in tight spaces and anticipate defenders. He draws contact consistently and converts at a high rate from the free-throw line (close to 85%), a key indicator of scoring efficiency. From beyond the arc, he shoots 34%, solid but not yet at specialist level.
Shot selection and decision-making remain areas for growth. He can force plays when looking to score and needs to better recognize when to move the ball to avoid unnecessary turnovers. Off the ball, he is not always active on the offensive glass, which can limit his overall impact across possessions.
Defensively, his length and quickness give him tools to compete on the perimeter, though consistency and engagement will determine his reliability at the next level.
RaeQuan Battle closed the 2023/24 season with a strong showing at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, averaging 22 points in two games. Overall, RaeQuan Battle projects as a professional scoring wing with the physical tools and offensive mindset to carve out a role, particularly if he refines efficiency and decision-making.
