INTRODUCTION: Tyler Burton is a wing in his final season at Villanova. After four seasons at Richmond, with a high of 19.0 points and 7.4 rebounds per game, he decided to transfer to Villanova. In his junior and senior seasons at Richmond, he was selected in the Second Team All-Atlantic 10.
Burton is an extraordinary athlete who seems to have added mass compared to his years at Richmond. He is a complete player, with whom it is difficult to find true strengths and weaknesses.

Certainly, during his years at Richmond, he demonstrated exceptional athleticism and scoring ability. This year at Villanova, he is showing his ability to “get his hands dirty” by no longer being the primary offensive option.

It’s rare to see players capable of transforming from the undisputed star of the team (19 points per game last year at Richmond) to a system player (7.5 points this year), able to adapt to the team’s needs. This, beyond everything else, is one of the main characteristics required of a basketball player.
His rebounding ability and desire are exceptional (6.1 per game in 24.9 minutes). He’s an excellent defender both on the perimeter and inside (0.7 steals per game), perfectly fitting into Villanova’s system (systematic switches). He can also move well off the ball.

Unfortunately, his three-point shooting, which has been inconsistent in the last two seasons (still a decent 32.7% this year).
