It’s the second chapter of THE HIDDEN GEMS OF NCAA DIVISION II

The Division II of the NCAA is one of the most important leagues for the production of players that can be used in the European area, often the quality/salary ratio is extremely advantageous and many players are willing to start from lower level leagues to grow and make a name for themselves in Europe. In the following lines the selection of a part of the profiles evaluated by Italian Basketball Scouting

Darren Williams (173 cm – 64 kg – Hawaii Hilo) Handler with good ability to take a shot from the dribble even from beyond the three-point arc (38.6% on 6.4 attempts) with which he combines remarkable assistman skills (4.4 per game with 1.8 turnover for a very high ratio). Physically limited he compensates with energy and plays at high speed. READ THE PROFILE

Montrell Jacobs (190 cm – 82 kg – Kentucky State) Guard very skilled in moving without the ball, able to alternate shots from very deep (38.3% on 6.7 attempts) with plays of great athleticism by attacking the rim. Player of great energy even in the defensive phase where he can claim a good size for the role. READ THE PROFILE

B.J. Fitzgerald (198 cm – 88 kg – Virginia State) Great versatility and athleticism that allow him to play in multiple roles, in the offensive phase he’s a sharpshooter (42% on 6 attempts) capable of scoring as spot-ups and from the dribble. Named his Conference Defensive Player of the Year, the combination of quick hands and athleticism rewards him. READ THE PROFILE

Kaden Anderson (203 cm – 100 kg – Point Loma) Combination of athleticism and physicality that make him a complete player, great percentages from beyond the arc (43.2% on 5.8 attempts) but can also attack from the low-post or off the dribble. Valid rebounds presence (8.9) he is able to get noticed as a rim protector (1.3 blocks per match). READ THE PROFILE

Raemaad Wright (201 cm – 102 kg – Virginia Union) Good athlete with interesting roller skills that make him particularly effective near the basket where he asserts his elevation (9.8 rebounds per match). He is working on shooting from beyond the arc (32.7% on 2 attempts) and the ability to involve his teammates (1.1 assists) while in defense he is a concentrate of energy. READ THE PROFILE

Korey Williams (183 cm – 80 kg – Lincoln) Point-guard with a very incisive first step that allows him to go to the basket in various ways from the dribble, he can also play off the ball and shoot from beyond the arc with good averages (38.3% on 5.8 attempts). Intense and energetic pressing situations where he steals 1.8 possessions per match. READ THE PROFILE

Malik Parsons (190 cm – 86 kg – Northwestern Oklahoma) Top scorer of the entire Division II at 24.8 points per game, athletic and mobile, he has great slasher skills but can also shoot from beyond the arc (36.7% on 4 attempts). The great offensive quality makes him to exaggerate sometimes (3.4 turnovers) while in defense he compensates with fast hands and 1.6 steals per game. READ THE PROFILE

Michael Zabetakis (196 cm – 93 kg – West Georgia) Swingman with a good size, athleticism and a great ability to get into the rhythm in isolation situations. Very effective off the dribble, has a good hand from beyond the arc (35.6% on 7 attempts) but is able to involve his teammates (2.4 assists). In defense he can rely on his physicality. Russell Harrison (201 cm – 91 kg – Lubbock Christian) Good wingspan and athleticism for this sharpshooter (39.2% on 6 attempts) who doesn’t have a great physique but with his agility he finds a way to create a shot from the dribble. Well rebounding presence (5.4 per game) but must limit turnover (2.3) READ THE PROFILE

QuanDaveon McCollum (199 cm – 96 kg – Newberry) Great physicality with a good mix of athleticism and agility. Presence in the paint, effective from the low-post and is also very good at moving off the ball to offer a passing line. Solid rebounding presence and can switch on the perimeter. READ THE PROFILE

Jarred Houston (208 cm – 112 kg – Emerson College) He deserves an honorable mention, he played in Division III where he showed very interesting point-forward numbers. Good understanding of the game (3 assists) and soft hands from mid-range, limited mobility pays off but can be an undeclared Jokic. READ THE PROFILE
