INTRODUCTION
Alex Reese spent his college years at Alabama, where he mostly served as a reliable rotation player off the bench, except for a memorable moment during the 2021 NCAA Tournament when his buzzer-beater forced overtime against UCLA. Following his time with the Crimson Tide, he opted to take on a bigger role by signing with a smaller club in Luxembourg, where he could showcase more of his game.
Reese is a fairly modern frontcourt player—long, mobile, and capable of stretching the floor as a spot-up shooter. While his college three-point percentage (31% over four years) wasn’t remarkable, he possesses the shooting mechanics and touch to be a spacing threat. His size and frame allow him to exploit mismatches from the post, where he can create scoring opportunities against smaller defenders.
Offensively, he played within a guard-oriented system that didn’t always highlight his skill set. Defensively, he lacks elite lateral mobility and isn’t a strong rim protector, but he compensates with positional awareness and rebounding instincts. Overall, he’s a versatile forward who can provide spacing and matchup flexibility in systems that don’t require him to anchor the defense.
