INTRODUCTION
Eric Gaines is a very athletic player with a good ability to pass the ball and to be present on the rebounds. During the season he has shown excellent skills as a playmaker (5.5 assists) combined with good initiative in attack (12.3 points). Unfortunately, sometimes he gets carried away by too much enthusiasm and makes mistakes. Despite this, he is undoubtedly a player capable of changing the course of a game with the energy he brings to the court. Energy that also leads him to be reactive both in terms of foot movement (2.3 steals per game) and in terms of rebounding presence (3.8) against opponents who are certainly more physically advanced than him.
His mere 75 kg could limit him in more physical contexts. In addition to his physique, other sore points for Eric Gaines are his 3-point shot where unfortunately he does not show good consistency and above all some offensive situations where his individuality takes over the rest of his teammates, wasting actions.
At the end of the 23/24 season he was included in the AAC All-Tournament Team and selected to participate in the PIT. Tournament closed with an average of 12 points.
