INTRODUCTION
Issac McBride is a point/combo guard from Oral Roberts. After starting his collegiate career at Kansas (where he stayed only 3 months), he played his freshman season at Vanderbilt before transferring to Oral Roberts, where he played 3 seasons as a standout.
McBride is a point guard with excellent ball handling, but not a great court vision. He is definitely a scorer (averaging 19.8 points), a high-level scorer with the ball in his hands, but lacking in playmaking (3.1 assists). He is primarily focused on personal scoring. McBride is also a great three-point shooter, shooting 39.4% on 5.3 attempts per game (less efficient from two, shooting 47%). Despite this, he is certainly capable of finding good solutions for his teammates (and for himself), especially in pick and roll situations. He can alternate between finishes at the rim (often with a floater) and three-point shots, creating spacing with excellent ball handling. Offensively, he needs to improve in off-ball positions, sometimes appearing to be a spectator perhaps due to his high minutes played (38.6 minutes).
He is definitely a leader on the court. Defensively, he has energy (3.5 rebounds) and a desire to defend 1-on-1 (0.9 steals per game), although his physique (185 cm) can sometimes be a limitation.
